Children in Crossfire

Through our experience of working with communities in developing countries we have come to understand the challenges of an integrated approach to Early Childhood Development.  Children in Crossfire believe that Early Childhood Development has four pillars of integration: nutrition, stimulation, care and protection and we focus our interventions on these pillars.  We also recognise that there are different stakeholders responsible for ensuring children get the foundation in life they need. These are parents, frontline professionals, communities and local and national government.

Recognising that different interventions are needed for different stakeholders, Children in Crossfire have different activities across the pillars of Early Childhood Development that target the different stakeholders. We believe that this matrix approach allows us to focus on the child as the centre for all interventions and to take the evidence of improved outcomes for children into advocacy at the national level to secure more resources for Early Childhood Development services for all children
